Question: Does it stay together at the top? Or does the v neck separate causing skin to be exposed?
Yes - that was one thing I was worried about, but it really stays well. You can even (sort of) adjust the amount of coverage you want. As long as it's the right size and not too loose, you shouldn't have a problem with the top.

Question: Does the material have any shine to it at all, or is it like a true cotton T? Also, does it stay shaped or stretch as the day goes on?
I own like 7 of these dresses. They fit perfectly, they are definitely like a thick t-shirt material which is why I bought them. I only have solids, and none of them have any shine so they can be casual with sandals, semi with nice boots, or dressy with heels. I live in Phoenix and needed nice work clothes that wouldn't make me sweat. They are super comfy, they keep me covered, and they hold their shape. I've owned mine for over a year now and every single one of them is as nice today as it was the day I bought then. I wash and try like any t shirt and hang them up. No ironing, or anything. I always get complimented when I wear one of these dresses.

Question: Has anyone tried machine washing this dress? Or fluffing it on low heat in the dryer?
I machine washed warm and tumble dried low. I pulled it right from the dryer and it came out great. No ironing needed!

Question: I normally wear a size large 12/14 and dd bra size. should i order up to xl?
I wear a 38D cup. The fit was perfect for me. The material is flows and stretches. I'd stick with a large unless you wear larger than a 38 size bra.

I usually wear an XL and this fit perfectly. So fit is true to size.
